In Colorado, 1971, atop the white chalk cliffs on Mt. Princeton, a pair of Goldens soared just overhead up the valley toward the Continental Divide and out of sight. Not so rare out there, still stunning for this New England nineteen year old. But to see one up your way in VT and having commerce with a Bald—flat out wondrous.
In the UP - we are fortunate to see many bald eagles and even here in Texas we will spot a lone bald Eagle drifting over our lake, but it is my hawk that I love dearly. Generations of them glide above my head and screech their greeting. Lovely post and so glad you are hardy!
Beautiful. I love floating in a kayak watching the sky. We have an eagle's nest not far from us at the lake. What an utter joy, and how well you capture the feeling.
